DIY: Rhinestone Claw Clips

Looking for a pretty and practical Galentine’s Day gift idea? Personalised rhinestone claw clips are the perfect choice! These clips are gorgeous, fun to make, and can be personalised for all your favourite people!

SUPPLIES

  • Claw clips

  • Flat-back rhinestones

  • E6000 or strong craft glue

  • Tweezers

  • Small dish or tray

  • Alcohol wipes

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Prepare the Claw Clips

Start by cleaning the surface of your claw clips with alcohol wipes. This ensures the glue adheres properly and gives you a clean base to work on. Allow the clips to dry completely before proceeding.

2. Plan Your Design

Before applying any rhinestones, plan your layout. Lay out the rhinestones on the clip to test your design before gluing.

3. Apply the Glue

Using tweezers or precision applicator, apply a small amount of glue to the back of each rhinestone or directly onto the clip. Work in small sections to prevent the glue from drying too quickly.

4. Place the Rhinestones

Use tweezers to carefully place each rhinestone onto the clip. Press gently to secure it in place. Continue adding rhinestones according to your planned design, ensuring they are evenly spaced and aligned.

5. Let It Dry

Once all rhinestones are in place, set the clip aside to dry for at least 24 hours. This ensures the glue fully cures and the rhinestones stay secure.

6. Add Finishing Touches

After the glue has dried, check the clip for any loose rhinestones and secure them as needed. You can also add a layer of clear nail polish over the rhinestones for extra hold and shine.
