About Glue Girls
Founded in 2023 as ‘Social Girls’, our community was built on a simple yet meaningful mission: creating genuine friendships among women through offline events. From brunches and happy hours to hands-on workshops, we explored various ways to bring women together. As we grew, it became clear that our arts and crafts events fostered the strongest connections. Scrapbooking sessions, ceramic classes, and charm jewelry workshops became more than just activities—they were spaces where creativity flourished, friendships grew, and women reconnected with their inner child.
Inspired by this shared passion for crafting, we embraced a new chapter. In January 2025, we transitioned to Glue Girls, a community focused entirely on building meaningful connections through the joy of hands-on arts and crafts. Based on Gadigal Land, we host monthly events that invite participants to explore a variety of creative activities, including junk journaling, linocutting, clay building, and more. Our vision for 2025 includes expanding to other Australian cities, bringing the magic of crafting to even more communities.
We extend our community online through a monthly zine filled with DIY projects, insightful articles on the role of creativity in fostering connection, and plenty of artistic inspiration. Our blog is another hub for sharing ideas, and we’d love to hear from you! Got a story or project to share? Submit it here!
We can’t wait to create, connect, and craft with you!
